Before-School Care

Before-school Care 7:15 a.m.-8:15 a.m.

Before-school Care Staff is ready to receive students each morning at 7:15 a.m.

Fee: The charge for Before-school Care is $6 a hour and is billed in 15 minute increments.

*Families who need to utilize Before-school Care on a regular basis, but find the cost prohibitive, should contact Dallas Bauer, Director of Extended Day Programs, for possible financial assistance.

*For your child’s safety and your peace of mind, any student not directly supervised by a parent or designated adult will be signed in to Before-school Care.

Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Pre-Kindergarten

Staff: Veronica Gutierrez

Location: Pre-Kindergarten Classroom

Activities: Centers

Breakfast: Students are welcome to bring their breakfast to Before-school Care. In addition, Granola bars and breakfast bars will be available until 8:00.

Dismissal: When it is time for school to begin, Mrs. Gutierrez will ensure that all students are escorted to their classroom.

Kindergarten – 5th Grade

Katrina Van Aalst and Veronica Gutierrez will supervise Pre-K extended care.

Staff: Angie Swisher and Katrina Van Aalst

Location: Computer Lab and Library

Activities: Computer software and websites with an academic focus, reading, writing, drawing, card games, board games, chess, puzzles, and socializing. Students may also use their time to complete and/or check over homework.

Breakfast: Students are welcome to bring their breakfast to Before-school Care. In addition, Granola bars and breakfast bars will be available until 8:00.

Dismissal: When it is time for school, Kindergarteners and 1st graders will be sent to their classrooms, which are in the same hallway as the Computer Lab and Library. 3rd-5th grades will be walked to their hallway and sent to their classrooms.

Middle School -- (7:15 a.m.-8:00 a.m.)

Staff: Pam Friesner

Location: Commons Area

Activities: Card games, board games, chess, reading, brain teasers, socializing and occasional gym activities. Students may also complete and/or check over homework if necessary. Computer access will be available for students who need to work on a school assignment.

Breakfast: Students are welcome to bring their breakfast to Before-school Care. In addition, Granola bars and breakfast bars will be available until 7:45.
