1) Class- Moyer- Practice short answer questions: Explain how the slogan “no taxation without representation” illustrated the colonial view of the power to tax. How did it lead to a dispute over taxation in the decade before the Revolution.

2) The Sons of Liberty referred to the violent incident between Boston colonists and British soldiers as the “Boston Massacre.” Explain how this name is an example of propaganda used to influence public opinion.

3) Compare and contrast the First and Second Continental Congresses. Who attended? What did they decide?

4) Why did those who initially opposed revolution change their mind to support the Declaration of Independence?
