The third graders will be tour guides through a rainforest they created from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. today through Friday at the school, 2200 S.W. Eveningside Drive.
The school will celebrate Earth Day from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The art show and reception for grades five through eight will be from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Following the art show, from 7 to 8 p.m., eighth graders will perform original poetry in a coffeehouse atmosphere.
Topeka Collegiate School celebrates its 25th anniversary reunion weekend April 25-27, beginning with Blues and BBQ at Heritage Hall on Friday and ending with a picnic at the school on April 27.
Fourteen Topeka Collegiate middle school students will take their entries to the Kansas History Day competition Saturday. To qualify for the state contest, students had to take first or second place in their categories at district History Day. This year's theme is "Conflict and Compromise in History." Students who will be competing at state History day are: Matthew Reynolds, historical papers; Cooper Self, individual projects; Thomas Coates and Dylan Cox, group projects; Shelby Carpenter, Soren Lamb and Nyalia Lui and Becca Kaye and Haley Ramirez, group performances; Patrick Elisha and Reston Phillips and Alex Chanay, Nicky Henriquez and Julian Mullican, group documentaries.
