Civil Rights Leader Speaks to Topeka Collegiate Students

Students at Topeka Collegiate school were visited by an inspiring speaker Monday.

Civil Rights leader and author John Stokes, spoke as part of events marking the 55th anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court ruling.

Stokes talked about a book he wrote, sharing his first-hand experiences on trying to desegregate schools.

Stokes was a lead plaintiff in a Virginia case that was folded under the "Brown" umbrella.
