Back to School Night

Parents and guardians, we invite you to our annual Back-to-School Night on Monday, August 22. A small reminder that this is an adults-only event. A brief plan for Back-to-School Night follows.

  • Lower School classroom teachers will give an overview of their curriculum, describe special projects and events for their grade level and answer questions you may have about the year’s activities. The presentations will be in your child’s classroom(s). The evening will be divided into four sessions, with lower school teachers giving their presentations twice; once beginning at 6:00 and then again at 6:45. This will allow you to attend presentations at more than one grade level.
  • Middle School core subject teachers will meet with parents on a rotation schedule, with the rotation shown below. You will have the opportunity to hear from them and ask questions about their specific classes.
  • Specialist faculty will be available to you in their classrooms throughout the entire evening from 6:00-7:30. They will talk to you about their classes and answer your questions.
  • Ms. Shelly Robinson, technology teacher, will be available from 6:00-6:20 and from 6:45-7:05 to help walk you through FACTS and answer any questions you may have about accessing student grades and information, as well as how to navigate through the Topeka Collegiate website.
  • Dr. Rantz will address all of the parents and faculty at 6:25 in the Assembly Hall. Following this, the sessions with the classroom teachers will resume in their respective spaces.
  • Sign-up sheets for numerous opportunities to get involved and volunteer in school will be available. Please take a look at these and sign up. We want you back in the building!
