Are you a first time visitor?

Welcome to Topeka Collegiate!

We understand that choosing the right school for your child can be a daunting task. The foundational education your child receives will shape their entire learning journey, and we take this responsibility very seriously. As an independent school, we invite you to become part of our story and explore the unique opportunities that only we offer.

Since 1982, Topeka Collegiate has been an Accredited Independent School committed to fostering young minds from age 4 through 8th grade. Conveniently located in Southwest Topeka, between Gage and Fairlawn, our campus at 2200 SW Eveningside Dr has been a cornerstone of the Crestview neighborhood. Set on eight beautifully maintained acres, our facilities include an engaging playground, a soccer field, an assembly hall, a commons area, and a full-sized gymnasium. Our newly renovated campus is equipped with cutting-edge security systems, a storm shelter, and innovative collaboration spaces, ensuring a safe and inspiring environment where students can thrive.

At Topeka Collegiate, we are devoted to nurturing a lifelong love of learning through small class sizes and passionate educators who support each child's limitless potential. While we cannot predict the future, we are dedicated to providing a secure, well-rounded campus and caring teachers who prepare students to confidently embrace it. With our dedicated faculty, challenging curriculum, and exceptional Beyond the Book experiences, Topeka Collegiate stands out as the premier choice for families in the Shawnee County region.

Yes, we do charge tuition, but we encourage you not to let this be a deterrent. Our generous Financial Investment in Tuition (FIT) strategy is designed to make a Topeka Collegiate education accessible to families while ensuring a valuable return on that investment. By choosing our school, you are investing in your child's future, giving them the advantage of a nurturing environment, personalized attention, and a comprehensive, high-quality education. Students who receive such care and support become more confident, skilled, and well-prepared for their future endeavors. Your investment in their education is an investment in their lifelong success and well-being.

Our mission is to inspire and prepare every student for a successful future through academic excellence, active citizenship, and humanitarian ideals.

Who we are:

We are Topeka’s only independent college preparatory school, placing students at the center of the learning experience and passionately developing the next generation of leaders equipped with skills for life.

What we do:

Topeka Collegiate provides an agile learning environment that helps every student develop confidence, critical thinking skills, a commitment to community service, and a love of learning that will benefit them for life.

Year after year, Topeka Collegiate students' standardized test scores place them among the highest-achieving independent school students in the nation. This is no surprise, as teachers are given the freedom to tailor their classroom curriculum to the individual needs of their students. Teachers work with parents to ensure that students are academically challenged and nurtured to reach their full potential.

We honor learning and achievement at Topeka Collegiate. Our curriculum emphasizes math, science, history, reading, writing, and Spanish. Specialists teach science, Spanish, computer science, music, art, and physical education in all grades.

Why we do it:

We are cultivating the next generation of leadership. Topeka Collegiate prepares students to be leaders through character development, a commitment to equity and justice, social engagement, and global citizenship.

Our students develop competencies not just for their next educational step, but for a life-long love for learning.

Children leave Topeka Collegiate with a love of learning that will stay with them for their entire lives. Graduates are known for their broad and varied interests, deep knowledge base, and versatile skill sets. They are communicators, risk-takers, and critical thinkers.
