Graduation Address 2015

Our speaker this year is Katherine Garlinghouse. Katherine’s Topeka Collegiate class of 1997 was the first class to graduate from this building since we moved from Pauline the summer before her 8th grade year. My memories of Katherine center around the fact that she was an excellent student in everything! She always did her best, and whatever she did, it was always of the highest quality. She was very active in Topeka’s Metropolitan Ballet, and attended Topeka High School, where she participated in debate and forensics.

In 2005 she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with a major in Economics, and a Concentration in Marketing and Global Analysis. Following graduation, she was employed by Chevron, where she has held roles of increasing responsibility in marketing and public and government affairs over the last 10 years. These roles have taken her to 5 continents and to all corners of the energy business

She is currently based in San Francisco with her husband after returning to the U.S. from a two-year assignment in London. I am pleased to present to you this year’s speaker, Katherine Garlinghouse.
